Job Responsibilities

  • The candidate will work closely with the stakeholders across Marina Bay Sands, overseeing Brand Signature Events and Special Events with Third Party Partnerships. 
  • Act as a unifying force across the entire organization, working closely with the brand, comms & content teams, to translate well defined plans into effective, authentic branded communications & experiences
  • Cultivate a positive and trust-centric working relationship with the Experiences cluster and respective business units, understand their mandate, thinking and philosophy in the curation of the exhibitions and programmes and events. 
  • Work closely with internal departments such as Brand & Advertising, eCommerce, Social Media and Communications to develop online and offline integrated marketing campaigns to reach our key target audiences. 
  • The ideal candidate will possess a combination of project management acumen and an understanding of the media distribution landscape. The ideal candidate is a highly-experienced marketer who is focused on business goals, strategic thinker, collaborative and people management orientated
  • Support, mentor and develop team to ensure seamless team support and execution of marketing strategies as well as personal development. 
  • Work with media agency to manage media budget, ensure effective media ROI, track and optimise campaign performance. 
  • Have a point of view, a desire and a vision to create and/or maximise the cultural impact of our brand through relevant, strategic opportunities
  • Be the strategic gate keepers to ensure that all ideas, executions & campaigns are consistently delivering against our brand & business goals. 
  • Develop strong working processes & relationships based on mutual trust and expertise across our multi-faceted teams to deliver a working rhythm that facilitates both quality & efficiency.
  • Collaborates to shape the big picture business and marketing context and ideas, as well as delivering on tactical executions with finesse
  • Is a confident ambassador of our team to senior stakeholders, capable of consulting with leaders across departments, originating ideas & bringing the wider IR along the journey
  • Advocates for the business internally, and keeps the agency team informed, focused, and enthused about the work and the business.
  • Form meaningful relationships with people, being clear & approachable as this role must work with every department across the MBS ecosystem, from senior leadership to marketing, design, operations, customer service, sales, and distribution—to create a cohesive customer experience.
  • Actively works to grow and develop the skills and abilities of junior team memebrs
  • Challenges direction, or the status quo, and seeks alternate perspectives and approaches in developing effective brand strategies.
  • Proactively initiate and ideate new products and experiences to drive incremental visitation and revenue
  • Ensure adherence to Compliance, SOPs and Approval/Budget processes
  • Maintain marketing’s sphere of influence at the decision table
  • Develop and oversee the execution of communication marketing collaterals
  • Management of marketing budget and forecast reports and ensure expenditure drives business objectives.
  • Additionally ensure Sustainability brand and activations are woven into our marketing narrative where appropriate and or as a brand position in support of the business objectives.

 

Job Requirements

Education & Certification

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Event Management, Tourism, Master’s/MBA or related field preferred.

Experience

  • Minimum 10 years of marketing experience

Other Prerequisites

  • Demonstrated leadership skills in team building, driving transformative change and delivering exceptional customer service within a matrix environment are essential.
  • Hands-on experience working with diverse markets and teams to develop and lead marketing initiatives. 
  • Prior experience in the events, hospitality or tourism industry is desirable. 
  • Organised, with high-calibre project management, writing, communications and presentation skills for the preparation of business plans. 
  • Quantitative and analytical skills – comfortable with the necessary financial and analytical functions required to quantify the performance of marketing initiatives. 
  • Capable of distilling subjective marketing topics into actionable marketing strategies. 
  • Professional maturity; capable of building consensus between line and staff functions. 
  • Superior leadership skills – comfortable working with indirect authority. 
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to clearly and effectively communicate marketing strategies, concepts, ideas, and solutions to stakeholders, internal teams, and clients. 
  • Ability to work and lead effectively in a team setting, including synthesising ideas into concrete marketing implications. 
  • Enthusiastic about collaborating and communicating closely with teams and other stakeholders via a distributed model. 
  • You love getting to know things intimately and getting under the skin of how everything & everyone works. This means spotting connections that others don’t by looking for links between culture, futures and people
  • You have an obsessive attention to detail when it comes to brand execution and understands the scale of operational delivery
